Currently in Athens, Greece, working at ELIAMEP (Hellenic Foundation for European & Foreign Policy) on Southeast European issues, assistant editing Southeast European and Black Sea Studies, writing for TheTravelPorter, and dabbling in other projects too.

Previously graduate study at the University of Athens, and in Edinburgh, Scotland, and before that in Athens again, as a Teaching Fellow at the Hellenic American Educational Foundation. Degree number one History & Middle Eastern Studies, Trinity College, Cambridge.

This blog documents travel, food and occasionally some thoughts – my last name seems to have predisposed me to a life that (so far) is disproportionately full of adventure.

Also, my (defunct) photo blog Athens Photo-A-Day, and you can find other writing at Portes Magazine, where I was a contributor.

  1. Hi! Just thought I’d let you know that I’ve subscribed to your blog. I’m always on the lookout for new reading.

Do you use Twitter? Only I like to cite people by their handles when I tweet link to their posts.

I love your blog!!! I also love that you are living/studying in Greece! You are living my dream! Haha. 🙂

Also, do you have family in Xios? I ask because I saw you were there a lot! My family is from Katarrakti! 🙂

    • Thank you! (And sorry for the late reply.. I was MIA for a while). I have no relation to Chios, but spent a great long weekend there. One of my favourite places 🙂
